🔋 EVERIZ Self-Diagnosing Batteries for iPhone
EVERIZ self-diagnosing batteries are designed to avoid the “Replaced Part” notice that appears in iOS after replacing the battery on recent iPhone models. To do this, they integrate an electronic module into the battery flex/circuit that emulates and communicates the identification data iOS expects (for example: serial number, fuel gauge parameters, or gas gauge and basic status). In iOS 12/13 and later, Apple introduced an authenticity check that displays the message “Unable to verify this iPhone has a genuine Apple battery” when it cannot validate the BMS information; self-diagnosing batteries are designed to present valid data and suppress that notice.
How does it work technically?
iPhones use a fuel gauge chip (gas gauge) and a BMS inside the battery pack. This chip reports metrics such as capacity, cycles, and status to the logic board over a single-wire/SMBus communication bus. Apple associates (or “pairs”) certain identifiers of the BMS with the device; if, when the battery is replaced, that data doesn’t match or can’t be authenticated, iOS displays the unverified battery notice. EVERIZ self-diagnosing batteries incorporate a microcontroller on the flex that presents compatible identifiers and expected responses, so that iOS doesn’t trigger the notice.
Relationship with the BMS and repair shop alternatives
In the repair world, there are two ways to avoid the notice: (1) transferring the original BMS board to a new cell (it keeps the battery’s “identity,” but inherits its health history), or (2) using flex cables/programmers that replicate data from the BMS. EVERIZ self-diagnosing batteries follow the second approach: their electronics emulate or clone the identifiers that iOS needs to accept the battery without showing the alert.
Main advantages
- 💡 No “Replaced Part” message in Settings > Battery on compatible models.
- ⚙️ Direct installation (compatible flex), with no need to transfer BMS microboards or do fine soldering.
- 📊 Status readings reported reliably by the integrated module (depending on model/iOS version).
Compatibility
Available for multiple models (iPhone 12–15 series and others). The exact behavior of the notice and the health readings may vary depending on iPhone model and iOS version.
What’s in the box?
